Every little help

Today I volunteered for the CFC's Bucket Collection for the victims of the Typhoon that hit Philippines over two weeks ago. This wasn't my first time doing Bucket Collection for a good cause, I did it back when I was in TY for many different charities. Back then, I was 16 years, 3 years younger than I am today. My first time doing a Bucket Collection I was a bit naive and not truly understanding the peoples reason for not taking money out of their pocket and putting it into the buckets.

But today, I truly appreciated every single person who donated and not donated. The smile that they gave back when I whipped out my enormous smile. Despite the extreme cold/wet weather it really was a good day. There are so many warm hearted people here in Ireland and I am just absolutely grateful for everything that they have done. The little thing from 2 cents to a twenty euro paper. I realized that I have changed from 3 years ago when I did my first Bucket Collection for the charity 'Rebuild for Bosnia'. I understood why people didn't donate. We don't know everyone's life story, some may be running late for a meeting, some had two to three bags in each hand and some people just may not have any change with them. And you know what....it is absolutely okay. Smile to everyone because it's contagious! Say Hi, say Good Morning to strangers! Make someone's frown upside down!

I'm just thankful for all of Ireland's help to the victims by the Typhoon in the Philippines. The typhoon doesn't affect Ireland in anyway at all but they still chose to give a giving hand. We should all help one another in anyway that we can. Every little help will do. Little help is better than no help at all.

Philippines you are not forgotten.
