HAPPY NEW YEAR!
My first blog in 2010. We shall all take a second to remember this moment, that you are reading the first blog of Jomarie in 2010. hahaha. I make such a big deal out of something so little.
Anyway...
I would have loved to blog last night after 12midnight but I wasn't in any near access to the internet. The beginning of 2010 for me was a "big bang"
What made it great is well, I spent it with my family and my dear closest friends. But literally, to be honest. What highlighted my New Year's Eve was snow. Yes. It actually snowed here in Ireland. Just 2 hours before the clock striked 12, it started to snow lightly, which made my friends and I delighted. We quickly went outside and started throwing snowballs at each other which I learnt that snowballs actually hurt if you get hit in the face. Just a few minutes left till it was midnight, that was when the snow started to fall heavily which absolutely made my evening. At mid-night. SNOW. Here in Ireland. Unbelievable. Really. Here, in Ireland our Climate has change. The temperature has been under average and Ireland was never this cold during Winters. So despite everything. I knew that Ireland was going to snow but I didn't expect it to snow on NEW YEAR'S EVE. This just made 2010 the best year so far for me anyway. It was a good start to it. It just lighten up everyones mood.
The party I attended, well..you can sorta call it extreme. Nothing Wild or anything that happened, it was extreme for me anyway. We arrived at the party at around 9o'clock in the evening we didn't get home until 2o'clock in the afternoon the next day. For my New Year Night I stayed with my friends the whole night, laughing and talking. The reason why we stayed so long there was because my mother, the only one in the family decided not to drive because a) she didn't want to drive on New Years Eve because people will be all over the place, getting drunk etc. and b) the weather is extremely under temperature average. It is like negative outside right now. And the dangers on the roads when driving. Which is why we booked a taxi, going to and from party..but at the end. The taxi didn't come to collect us at the party to bring us back home. Instead, we had to wait the whole night for another taxi but at the end, the host of the party was the one who brought us home. Who knows? Good deed? or he was just tired of us hanging around at his house? haha.
The party was really good but the result of the party was very tiring. My family and I were the last people to leave the house. Only had around 3 hours of sleep. To be honest, I was really sleepy but I forced myself to stay awake most of the night. It was me, Mackie and Epoy. Two good friends of mine who we're last in the party. Well it was Mackie's house so really it was just Epoy and Me who were last. I wanted to stay up all night and do an all nighter where you stay awake for 24 hours. I would only do it if someone else stayed up with me. Boys. You can never count on them. They said they would stay awake with me, they were just laying down on the mattress while I was sitting beside the mattress. They said I would just talk about anything, which I sorta did. The thing was, I was there talking about anything for over an hour and they were half asleep. Boys. tbh. You can never count on them. haha. But, they are true gentlemen :) They gave me the bed to sleep on and a Jacket because it was freezing cold that night and the duvet was already occuppied by other people who were staying at the house that night aswel.
Arrived home around 2-ish. Since it was snowing the night before, my community was covered in snow. My friends and I have been waiting for a snow day since last year and it has finally come :) So today, my friends rang for me to go out. I planned to stay in and rest but I decided who cares. I want to have fun. Stayed out in the freezing weather for about 3 hours. Played in the snow with friends, trying to trip people up while they walk, taking pictures with the lovely sunset behind us. It was beautiful if I say so my friends, and if my friends were here with me as I write about the sunset, they would totally agree. As the day carried on, it became dark. We were just hanging outside my friends house, playing truth and dare. My friends did really weird dares but Im just as even as them. My friend dared me to do something that she knows in the world that I would absolutely not do it. But I proved her wrong. I did it. She underestimated me but I proved her wrong, which is a feeling that I like. The point is, I had a great New Years Eve and the first day of 2010.
Well...I think this year is the "Year of the Tiger" I think? Well comment me if I'm wrong. Yeah, well hopefully this year will be good. A better one than last year is what I'm hoping. I promise myself this year, that I will be myself, I won't make any sudden stupid decisions and rush into things. I'd be more open to some of my friends, and just live life. I can't do anything about my past, and don't want to know anything about the future. The future is a mystery which makes us want to know whats going to happen. The present is here. So why not make the most of it. I'm going to make this the best year. I Promise myself. I will make it the best. Promise :D.
Okay, right now..I feel like I'm going to snooze of any minute. But can't helpt staying awake and waiting for someone to appear online. He said he was going to come back. He wanted to ask me a private question and I'm just dying inside not knowing what the question is. Ohwell, I guess it can wait because my eyes can't take it anymore. It needs to close :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR AGAIN EVERYONE.
Hope the best of luck with everyone in this year.
Yours truly,
the girl who had an incredible start of her year 2010.
Jomarie ;xo
